MI980 Mini-ITX supports 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5 processors. This motherboard is based on the mobile Intel® QM87 and HM86 Express chipsets, which offer increased graphics and CPU performance over previous generations. The new board design was developed primarily for industrial and Embedded markets that require high processing capability, but are also constrained by power limits.

MI980 is equipped with two standard voltage or low voltage DDR3 SO-DIMM sockets that support up to 16GB of system memory. Video connections include DVI-I, DVI-D, LVDS/eDP and DisplayPort. There is also a spacer to accommodate expansion cards.
